Sonia Thomas

Training Programmes Leader, Trainer and Assessor

I am the founder and owner of Coaches Plus, which specialises in delivering coaching, training and consultancy.   I support coaches with their professional development through mentor coaching and I also run an international Peer Coaching programme.  This programme has run for five years and involves coaches in Europe, the USA, Canada, Bahrain and Australia.

For the last 5 years I have also delivered coach training.  This has included delivering training programmes for leaders, mentors and education professionals, running workshops and organising conferences.  My clients in the UK include Kingston College, Ealing Hammersmith and West London College, Learning Plus UK, Tower Hamlets Local Authority, and Harrow Local Authority and a range of private clients.

The coach training courses and programmes I deliver are recognised by both the International Coach Federation and the Institute of Leadership and Management (the leading European body for Leadership and Coaching Qualifications) and are certificated by these bodies.

I have Batchelor of Arts Honours Degree and a Master of Arts Degree. I am also a qualified teacher, holding a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, and I have over 20 years experience of designing and delivering education and training programmes. I trained as a coach with CoachU and have undertaken a range of further coach training.

I am a member of both the ICF and the International Association of  Coaching. For three years I was a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council’s Ethics Committee.  At this time I ran workshops for EMCC members on ethics, including delivering a workshop on ethics at the EMCC  International Conference in Prague.

My coaching clients are both organisations and private clients and I specialise in working with clients in the education sector in the UK and continue to work as an Educational Consultant in this sector.  My clients have included Local Government, Colleges, Schools and Government bodies.

Increasingly, however, my private coaching clients are small business owners who are focused on growing successful businesses, and my coaching focuses on effective marketing for solopreneurs.
